Meet John Harkins
When you call Lighthouse, you talk to John Harkins—the owner, the operator and the person who shows up to do the work. John has called the Dayton area home for more than 15 years. The homes he works on are in the neighborhoods where he raises his family, shops and spends his weekends, so every job is personal.
John started Lighthouse Property Maintenance LLC with a simple idea: homeowners deserve a handyman who listens first, explains the work plainly and leaves the space cleaner than he found it. Whether it’s a sticking door, a wall that needs patching, a tired deck or a whole punch list you’ve been putting off, John treats it like it’s his own home.
As a proud father, he knows how much a safe, comfortable, well-kept home matters—and how little free time busy families have to keep up with it. That’s why Lighthouse is built around clear scopes, honest conversations and steady communication from the first call to the final walkthrough.
Like a lighthouse on the shore, the goal is simple: be the steady, dependable light your home can count on.
Start with what your home needs
Lighthouse brings home maintenance conversations back to a useful starting point: what needs attention, what result you want and what the work involves. From a short punch list to a room refresh, the first step is a clear scope.
